I have been away for the past few weeks photographing a beautiful wedding in Sweden (just outside of Stockholm) and skiing in the Swiss Alps. So I have a ton of neat things to come on the blog.

Traveling for weddings is incredible. I have never been to Sweden. Lotta and Anton's wedding was truly spectacular and gorgeous. They had their ceremony at a tiny old stone church called Lidingo Church. So intimate and romantic. Their reception was held at Hogberga Gard, a beautiful castle on the water.

When I first walked out to the water to check out the venue, my jaw dropped right off of my face. I have never seen such an incredible site. Miles and miles of patterned ice. I felt cold, refreshed, and alive. There was snow on the ground but the sun was shining for most of the day.

I had never met Lotta and Anton before their wedding, and it was pure magic to see their relationship. They are both witty, fun, playful, and full of contagious laughter. They are troopers. Lotta was outside in the cold in her beautiful dress for hours while we played with the snow and the light. I feel incredibly honored to have been there to capture their sweet love.

Thank you for having me at your beautiful wedding.

Lindsey, there are some absolutely striking shots from this wedding. Particularly, the angles in the church are amazing! Your work continually wows me. The rice shot outside the church is awesome. And the photo of the four groomsmen walking outside is so Beatles Abbey Road cool. OUTSTANDING WORK!!!!!!! This couple should be ultra thrilled.

Ron and Michele got married at the Ritz Carlton St. Thomas. They are a perfect match. They love doing the same things. They make each laugh. They share everything. They are so in love. It was an amazing experience for me to be there with them in St. Thomas and to watch their love and to get to know their incredible family and friends.

While you look at the pictures below, think about these words that my sister Timmi (who second shoots most wedding with me!) and I came up with to capture our trip to this incredible island: Love. Blue water. Paradise. Sand. Iguanas. Snorkeling. Peonies. Trust. Fish. Sunshine. Fuchsia shoes. Athletes. Island time. Diamond bracelets. Palm trees. Pink petals. Sting-rays. Excitement. Rum punch. Energy. Narrow roads. Crazy drivers. Friends. Missing luggage. Laughter. White dress. Family. Dancing. Love.

"What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what gets you out of bed in the mornings, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything." - pedro arrupe

Ron and Michele, thank you for having us with you at your gorgeous wedding. We will never forget it.

Emma and Robert's wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo was incredible! Maren Parsons Events put together a wedding that was like no other. Peacock feathers. Crystals. White Roses. Orchids. Shimmering table linens. Chandeliers hanging outdoors. Everything was perfect! Maren is incredibly detailed and has the best sense of style. I love working with her!

Emma and Robert are so in love and have so much fun! They were laughing and joking non-stop the entire day. It was awesome to see them together. And they are incredibly sweet people. You should have seen the laughs when the gorilla jumped at the glass in front of Emma or when they were feeding the giraffes (see below). Amazing.

I had so much fun getting to know everyone at your fabulous wedding party! xoxo

I am working on Emma and Robert's wedding that I photographed at the Santa Barbara Zoo and couldn't wait to share this photograph of a gigantic gorilla launching (without warning!!!) at Emma! Luckily she was behind glass, and I was shooting away. Needless to say, everyone's hearts were beating like crazy after that one! More pictures from Emma and Robert's wedding later this week!
