Happy belated Valentine's! I adore this week every year! It's a time to think about the people that you love and appreciate. I have said before that I am so happy that through photography I meet new people and get to see into their relationships and witness their love.

I met Serena when I photographed her as a surprise for Tommy. I talked in that blog post about being instant friends. Serena is such a giving, kind person. She is a beautiful soul. I met Tommy shortly after that shoot and was utterly blown away by their love. They have a beautiful connection. They joke. They stare. They kiss. They talk. Seriously true love.

I feel so lucky to know you both.

Happy Happy New Year!

Carter, Claiborne, and I had so much fun shooting their engagement session on a cold winter morning. Since it was freezing in Central Park, we were the only ones brave enough to hop the fence and shoot in the middle of Sheep Meadow. Alone in Sheep Meadow. Insane. You should see it in the summer; you can't move it is so crowded.

Caitlin and Jimmy met me on a cold morning to do their engagement shoot! We had the sun shining bright, so we were in luck! I love that they brought hot chocolate and cookies. So fun! We had a great time together. They love life, and they love to have a good time. Enjoy!

ADIE AND RYAN ARE ENGAGED!

Adie and Ryan are very special friends of mine. I met Adie a few years ago through mutual friends, and we have been close ever since. She is fiercely loyal and extremely funny, energetic and sweet. And when we get together we just chat and chat and laugh and chat. You get the point! She came to my wedding a little over a year ago and was the bouquet catcher! I have never known a bouquet catcher that was the next one married. But in this case it worked! I think my bouquet was just a tad bit lucky! ;)

I am thrilled that Adie and Ryan are getting married in Sonoma next year! They are so perfect together. They respect each other. They make each other laugh. They tease each other. Speaking of which... one of Ryan's favorite things about Adie is the way she shakes her fists back and forth like a kid when she is excited. And Adie just loves to laugh and giggle when he pokes fun of her. Oh sweet love.

I asked Adie and Ryan what they love most about each other. The first thing they both said was how much they love that the other person adores and appreciates friends and family. A perfect match! I think it is so important to cultivate, maintain, and appreciate friendships with people that you love. I feel so lucky to be able to surround myself with people that are in love and to get to know more about them and their relationships.

p.s. I didn't realize it when I took it, but I just love the 6th photograph from the top. There are so many interesting things going on. Adie has the cutest look on her face and is staring at Ryan. Ryan is looking off to my left where this crazy mid-day nightclub was blasting music. The woman passing by is looking at Adie. The kid in the cab is looking outside at Adie... or something else?

Brett and Brad are an adorably sweet couple. They are gorgeous and fun and super smart. And they just love to laugh. It's funny because I love to laugh so much that when you put me with a couple that loves to laugh, there is just a whole lot of laughter that going on during the shoot. And that's fun!

Alice and Humberto are just incredible. They are so fun and so loving. And so fashionable. I just adore Alice's dresses. We had a blast going around the city shooting at some neat locations. Thank you both for being so awesome!

Sylvia and Ola are an incredible couple! We had so much fun together! Aren't Sylvia's Leah C. head pieces amazing? And her Fendi and Christian Louboutin shoes to die for? What a stylish woman! And Ola is stylish himself. His blazers and pocket squares are insane. Thank you both for being so fun and for laughing so much with me!!!
