Before I left to Hawaii for my sister's wedding (I have a ton of posts coming!), I photographed Alexandra and her mom Levana. Alexandra is such a sweet baby. We had so much fun dressing her up in her adorable clothes and playing with her. I always have so much fun photographing babies and their mommies. The bond is so special. Thanks for such a fun afternoon!

I am so excited!! I was asked to do a spread in Hotelie, the official Cornell Hotel School magazine! I am so honored. I went to the Hotel School and had the best time of my life there! Here it is:

Be receptive to the miracles

In yoga class this week one of my teachers started the class with this thought: be receptive to the miracles. I was immediately intrigued. What exactly does she mean by receptive? What miracles is she talking about? As she explained it, we must be open to positive things happening in our lives. We must carve out a little part of us that believes in us and that believes in our dreams. If we are closed off and negative, we may miss the incredible opportunities that come our way everyday.

As I held myself in downward dog, I thought briefly about what she said. And when I left class, this idea of being receptive danced around in my head. I always think of myself as an optimistic person, someone that is open to new ideas, thoughts and possibilities. But what if it is possible to be even more receptive? We can always push ourselves to learn more, to be more positive and to believe in miracles.

Anar and Dale: Married

I got back from WPPI last week completely inspired! I will post more later this week, but for now, here's a few images from Anar and Dale's wedding!

Anar and Dale got married at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort in Birmingham, Alabama last year. They are my dear friends. While I didn't photograph their wedding officially, I took some fun images as I enjoyed the festivities. Anar is so stunningly beautiful and such a sweet person. It was incredible to see them get married and to meet all of their friends and family.

Who's going to WPPI?

I am headed to WPPI this year for the first time! I am so excited; I can hardly wait to get to Vegas for this conference to meet new people and learn! So if you are going, let me know! I would love to meet you!

Nicola and Keith: Maternity

Nicola and Keith are two of my dearest friends! Isn't Nicola just stunning pregnant? She is glowing! Last year I photographed them for Nicola's 30th Birthday! What a change one year has made! They are due at the end of March. So soon. I can't wait to meet baby boy! Lots of love, xoxo
